Free day hike on the PJ-KL border. Main arch off Jalan Gasing. Suspension bridge, Stairway to Heaven. Camping permit is DBKL, not MBPJ.
About Hutan Pendidikan Bukit Gasing
Hutan Pendidikan Bukit Gasing is the urban trail PJ uses before 08:00. Secondary forest on the Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur line. The main arch is on the PJ side off Jalan Gasing. Trails include the suspension bridge and the Stairway to Heaven stairs. Day hiking is free. No ticket window. MBPJ manages the PJ entrance and issues parking summons on residential streets. Camping overnight needs a DBKL permit on the KL side. Start early. Heat by 10:00. Do not stack this with a full Sunway Lagoon day. This is an attraction. FRIM Kepong and Batu Caves are other cities. Leave them off this site.
