About Hutan Simpan Komuniti Kota Damansara (KDCF)
Kota Damansara Community Forest is the last 321.7 hectares of Hutan Simpan Sungai Buloh, first gazetted in 1898 at 6,590 ha. Residents stopped a housing conversion. The reserve was gazetted again on 18 February 2010 for conservation, recreation, and education. Jabatan Perhutanan Negeri Selangor is the custodian. KDCF Society represents users. Seksyen 10 (Jalan Merbah 10/1, opposite the secondary school) reaches Petaling, Scouts, Temuan, and Sahabat trails. Seksyen 9 / Taman Rimba Riang reaches Harmoni and Unity. Daylight only. Stay on marked trails. Mountain bikes follow the society’s trail rules. This is an attraction in PJU / Kota Damansara. Sunway Giza is the nearby mall, not the forest.
