Malaysia's biggest kustom kulture and automotive festival returns for its 15th edition this August. Art of Speed 2026 (AOS 2026) will take over the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS) in Serdang on 1 and 2 August 2026, running from 10am till late each day across an expansive 320-acre outdoor space with 452,084 square feet of indoor exhibition halls.
SoundCircus Returns After Two Years
The headline news for the 15th edition is the return of the SoundCircus Festival after a two-year hiatus. First started as a small gig in 2017, SoundCircus has grown into one of the main highlights of Art of Speed, and this year it returns at a much larger scale. The music festival will occupy a four-acre space featuring six performance stages and over 54 musicians from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Japan.
According to festival director Asep Ahmad Iskandar, the revival of SoundCircus is a direct response to community demand. “We want to make AOS 2026 not just an automotive exhibition, but a complete pop-culture destination. With six different stages, visitors can enjoy various music genres while viewing the best custom car and motorcycle collections,” he said.
Headline Acts and Collaborations
The most anticipated moment of SoundCircus 2026 is Takhta Ratu Nusantara — a historic collaboration between Malaysian rock legend Ella and Indonesian band Cokelat, sharing a single stage for the first time. This landmark performance brings together two powerhouse women of rock from two nations in what is expected to be a defining moment of the festival.
The full lineup includes Masdo, Nadin Amizah (Indonesia), Tenxi (Indonesia), Johnny Pandora (Japan), Midnight Fusic, Freshtown All Stars, The Jansen (Indonesia), High Therapy (Indonesia), Straight Answer (Indonesia), and many more. Performances are split across three phases over the two-day event, with artists representing genres from rock and pop to indie and underground.
Automotive Highlights
Beyond the music, Art of Speed 2026 delivers the signature kustom kulture experience that has made it the country's premier automotive lifestyle event. Highlights include the Hot Wheels Collectors Convention, the prestigious Show & Shine competition featuring the finest custom cars and motorcycles, and the B-Boy SEA Qualifier bringing breakdance battles to the festival arena.
Special collaborations also include Couple x Adnan Othman in a “Power Pop Yeah Yeah” concept, and the 30th anniversary celebration of Second Combat, alongside Issey & The Clique's “Dikir Kustom” performance.
