One Square is a new F&B and event hub in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, due to open on 23 October 2026. It sits between M World Hotel and One World Hotel, near the TV3 Sri Pentas building and 1 Powerhouse, a covered walk from 1 Utama and the Bandar Utama MRT/LRT interchange. The pitch is a neighbourhood square, not another mall floor.
The Smart Local and SAYS both worked from the operator's own tenant list and site plans. TSL puts opening day as 23 October. SAYS is vaguer, "this October." Use the dated figure until the operator says otherwise. If you are planning a first weekend, hold a table for 24 or 25 October rather than the 23rd, when staff will still be finding the light switches.
Who is actually opening
Food is the reason to care. Confirmed names from the hub, as published by SAYS and TSL:

Errands sit next to the cafes. Village Grocer and AA Pharmacy are on the list, which is the difference between a pretty food court and a place Bandar Utama residents will actually use on a Tuesday. The Flow Yoga and Pilates, listed by SAYS as The Flow Studio in TSL's shorter copy, covers the sweat. Suga Nails is the other named service tenant.
This is not 1 Utama's 700-store directory. It is a short walk from that directory, which is the point. You can grocery at Village Grocer here, then still go to 1U for Uniqlo. You can also skip 1U entirely if you only wanted sourdough, matcha and a table that is not in a food court under fluorescent lights.
The hall, the yard, the parking
SAYS quotes two event rooms from the operator. The Centrecourt is 5,100 sq ft indoors and is sold as a 500-person space. The Yard is 2,400 sq ft outdoors. Expect weekend markets, brand pop-ups and the usual Klang Valley "community" programming. Until a first calendar is published, treat those rooms as unused capacity, not a reason to visit on opening week.
Drivers get 210 on-site bays plus valet. Entry is from First Avenue Road and Dataran Bandar Utama. Two hundred and ten bays is tight if The Centrecourt is at 500 people and the cafes are full. Bandar Utama already eats parking on Saturday. If you can, take the MRT.
Bandar Utama station is KG09 on the Kajang Line and SA01 on the Shah Alam Line. TSL says the covered walk from the station takes about 10 minutes. That matches how the rest of First Avenue is laid out, a string of offices and hotels already linked to 1 Utama. You will not need a car if you already live on the MRT.
See Hoy Chan's Bandar Utama City Centre maps have listed One Square as "coming soon" next to 1 Powerhouse and Sri Pentas for months. The 8 First Avenue factsheet from the same group puts it on the walking grid with One World Hotel and 1 Utama. This is an infill plot in a township that already has a mega-mall, not a new suburb.
Who this is for
Go if you work in the First Avenue offices and want lunch that is not the 1U food court. Go if you live in BU1 to BU12 and want Village Grocer plus a bakery without entering the mall. Skip opening weekend if you hate crowds and unfinished fit-outs. Come back in November when the tenants have a week of service behind them.
Hours have not been published as a single mall clock. Expect cafe hours closer to 8am to 10pm than 1 Utama's 10am open. Confirm on each brand's Instagram the week of 23 October. Yellow Brick Road, Bengbeng and Wolf and Turtle already have followings, so those accounts will break the real opening hour first.
