A Hidden Gem in Publika! I’ve been staying in Malaysia for two months now, and Rakuzen Publika has quickly become my go-to spot, I keep coming back every chance I get! The food is honestly some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The waitstaff are wonderfully friendly and make you feel genuinely welcome every visit. And for the quality you get, the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend to anyone in KL!

From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted and seated in a nice booth. Service was excellent. There’s a call button at the table when you need something. Food was nicely presented and ambience was really cozy and nice.

Nice place and good food, but the service was extremely disappointing. Plates were taken away even though we hadn’t finished eating. Having to request wasabi and soy sauce is ridiculous, especially for a relatively expensive Japanese restaurant where these should be standard. We also got a private room, but the server didn’t bother to close the door at all, which defeated the purpose of having a private space. On top of that, the server placed dishes at the edge of the table and walked away without a word, which came across as quite rude.
