The first time I patronised this outlet was also the third cup of coffee I had from Yew Yew. I've tried their Long Black for the first two times, both fruity and nutty flavours respectively. Holding the cup in my hand, it was not scorching hot like most cafes do. I thought to myself, finally one that managed their temperature right. The aroma from the coffee was good, but I couldn't say the same about the taste. The drinking spout on the lid was placed over the joint of the cup, which caused dripping as you drink. I believed the staff was trained to do as such, so the yew yew logo on the cup would be facing outward as you drink. Unfortunately they didn't drink their own coffee to experience the dripping. I gave it another go for the third time, thinking that maybe it could redeem itself with filter coffee. Unlucky for me, it was both sourish and bitter, hard to swallow. I had to get a cinnamon sugar croffle to soothe my palate. At least the croffle wasn't too bad. But it also spoiled a good croissant, if you know what I mean. I guess that would be the last coffee I'd have from yew yew. Might consider the croffle, if the timing is right. PS: I noticed there was a box labelled with Ghostbird Coffee. I purchased their beans once, never got the best taste out of it with my V60.

Black Sunset - Espresso shot with orange soda and a hint of rosemary. Very interesting and refreshing bittersweet combo. Coffee aroma does come through. Will be back to try more stuff. Interesting menu.
